Sensible World of Soccer voor 29 augustus

Tot nu toe zijn er geen oudere voetbalgames op Xbox Live Arcade verschenen, maar weldra gaat Codemaster hier verandering in brengen. Sensible World of Soccer ging oorspronkelijk in het eerste kwartaal van 2007 verschijnen, maar iedereen weet dat dit niet meer gaat gebeuren. We weten nu wel de échte datum (en een prijs) voor de XBLA-versie, namelijk 29 augustus en 800 MS Points. Het is dus nog een eindje verwijderd, maar dit keer heeft Codemaster ten minste voor een realistisch tijdstip uitgekozen. Het pakket zou naast online modi ook herwerkte graphics bevatten en dit is wat één van de aanwezigen van Codemaster's Community Day te zeggen had over de game:

I sat down to play my first game of SWOS 2007. I have to admit, at first I wasn’t too sure about the new graphics. But after a few games had past it just felt right. It felt like Sensi. The little sprites feel like an evolution of the old and perfectly suits a widescreen TV. There are loads of nice little touches, like the way the players open their eyes really wide if they get booked. Makes them look nice and guilty! There are other nice touches around the ground themselves - and there a few of them. Some nice stadiums with the roof hanging over the pitch (with the odd pigeon sitting on the roof) to a semi-derelict stadium with burn-out cars and a railway track at the bottom of the pitch (with a moving train going along it!). Overall I’m very happy with the graphical face-lift and I think I’d find it difficult to go back to the old-style when I finally get my hands on it.
